Tyrone McGriff (January 13, 1958 in Vero Beach, Florida – December 9, 2000 in Melbourne, Florida) is a former American football center and guard who played in the National Football League with the Pittsburgh Steelers, He later played in the USFL. Won the 1983 USFL Championship as a starting Guard for the Michigan Panthers. Played for Michigan in 1983 & 84 and 1985 for the Memphis Showboats. He was Mr. Irrelevant, aka, the last pick (333rd Overall) in the 1980 NFL Draft. He died in 2000 of a heart attack. Tyrone McGriff Sr. is survived by his two kids April and Tyrone McGriff Jr. and wife Barbara Rollins McGriff.

Tyrone McGriff Jr. followed in his father's footsteps and played football at Florida A&M University, where he made all-conference and preseason all-American for his exploits on the field. In 1996 he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
